How it Works

Post-remodelling rehab involves restoring an individual's strength, mobility, and function after an injury or surgery. It is a critical stage in the recovery process that requires a comprehensive and personalised approach. From a strength and conditioning perspective, post-remodelling rehab typically involves progressive resistance training, neuromuscular training, and functional exercises to address any deficits in strength, power, endurance, and coordination (Buckthorpe et al., 2019; Kramer et al., 2012). A key aspect of post-remodelling rehab is a dose-response approach, which involves gradually increasing the intensity, volume, and frequency of exercises to stimulate the body's adaptive response and promote tissue healing. Additionally, a graded exposure approach is often used to gradually expose individuals to movements and activities that may have been limited or painful before the injury or surgery (Freitas et al., 2018).

Depending on the circumstances, post-remodelling rehab can also be a collaborative approach that involves communication between the strength and conditioning coach, the physical therapist, and the medical team (Bassett et al., 2015). This collaboration ensures the rehab program is safe, effective, and aligned with the individual's medical history, goals, and progress.

My expertise is built upon the latest research and techniques in the field of S&C and I stay up-to-date with current advancements to ensure my clients and athletes receive the highest quality care and treatment (Simpson et al., 2020).

In addition to technical expertise, I pride myself on my ability to motivate and inspire my clients. The rehab process can be challenging, and it takes a unique approach to keep clients engaged and committed to their goals (Jarraya et al., 2019).
